The village is known for the Dola. Hanuman Temple, Maa Mangala mandir,Shiva Mandir and radha gobinda mandir are the deities of the village. Most of the people are occupied in business or the service industries; a few live from agriculture. One U.P Schools and one high school both boys girls were established before Independence.
Facilities include a post office, government high school,Goverment U.P School,A Big Pool,Panchayat samiti,Framer Club,full electrification, and Concret road and drainage system.
The people of this village belong to different castes but there is hardly any obnoxious touch of casteism in the village; all lead a harmonious life.
Village Sasan is situated in the Bank of River Brhamani and is just about 100 km and three and half hour drive from the state capital Bhubaneswar.
