Aamir Khan strikes gold with 'Dhoom 3', makes Rs200 crore in just 4 days

Touted as the year’s biggest release- ‘Dhoom 3’- has lived up to people’s expectations. With Aamir Khan essaying the central character in the multi-starrer, the film was bound to hit the jackpot and has already minted over Rs 200 crores in just 4 days!

And Mr Perfectionist of the Tinsel Town, who believes in doing not more than one film a year, has struck gold with the film which happens to be the third franchise of the ‘Dhoom’ series.

A noted trade pandit is of the opinion that the film has the potential to break all the previous Box Office records and may soon clinch the leading spot.

With five releases in 2013, Sonakshi Sinha on a mission to set a new record?

Sonakshi Sinha is the B-Town actress with maximum film releases in 2013. The 26-year-old, who debuted in 2010, has done more films — 12 — than actresses who entered Bollywood before her.

She has acquired the reputation of being one of the workaholics, like Akshay Kumar, with whom she has done three films (and three cameo songs). The 12 films include a special appearance in Oh My God! in 2012, and three item songs (two in Boss and one in Himmatwala).

Next year she will have three releases with Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Kapoor. Does she plan to go on a signing spree and chalk up most releases again next year? She laughs, “Signing spree? No! I just feel most comfortable when I am working. It’s been a good year for me because I got to do good films. I also did three of my best roles in my career — Lootera, R…Rajkumar and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara. I also worked with new actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and Shahid Kapoor.”

The actress disagrees with the fact that she’s signing too many films and becoming the female equivalent of Akshay, who has maximum number of releases every year. “Though I take it as a huge compliment to be compared to Akshay, as he is one of the most hard working stars I know, I must add that I always sign a film instinctively and only if I feel very strongly about it. I don’t sign a film just for the sake of it. Just because people feel I am taking on too much work I can’t stop saying no to good roles or films, no?”

Sonakshi adds that she gets bored and restless when she is not working. “This is the only way I know to work — by being superbusy! When I have a free day, I don’t know what to do with myself. I would rather just be working.”

Sounds surreal but Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan hugged each other at Congress leader Baba Siddiqui's Iftaar party held at Taj Lands End on Sunday evening.


Baba Siddiqui who initiated the meeting said, "It was nice to see the two of them greet each other at the Iftaar. They embraced each other and even shook hands. I hope they become friends for life now." 

An eye witness said, "Shah Rukh Khan shook hands with Salman Khan and both even hugged each other surprising the guests present at the Iftaar." 

The witness added, "Shah Rukh was sitting with some people when Baba Siddiqui along with Salman came from behind and tapped on his shoulder and told Salman is here, Shah Rukh stood up went up to Salman Khan and hugged him. Both had broad smiles on thier faces." 

Both the actors have not been in talking terms for more than five years now.

SRK's baby was in critical condition post birth

Superstar Shahrukh Khan is now the proud papa of his newborn son. But, Khan had to face a tough time, post his baby boy's birth, since it was a premature child and was in a critical condition. As per a leading daily's reports, Shahrukh's premature baby was treated at three different hospitals, post birth.

Reportedly the baby was born four weeks premature at Masrani Hospital in Andheri on May 27 to a surrogate mother. The baby weighed just 1.5 kg at the time of birth, hence complications developed in the baby's health. The daily reported that after consultation, the doctors advised the actor to shift his baby to Nanavati hospital.

But the baby was soon moved to Breach Candy Hospital. It is said that Breach Candy's neo natal care is much better and specialised than Nanavati. It is also said that the baby was serious and under critical condition. But somehow, the Khan family's prayer worked for their kid and he recovered soon.
