New Odia film ‘To Bata Chahinchi Raati Saara’ released

Two  new Odia films have hit the screen  on Friday – Soumya Ranjan Patnaik’s ‘Tu Aau Mu’ and Sanjay Nayak’s ‘ To Baata Chahinchi Raati Saara”.

A horror thriller , ‘To Baata Chahinchi Raati Saara’ has versatile actor Priya Choudhury in the lead. She ( Raatri) plays an angry ghost who takes revenge on people responsible for her rape and murder.

Raatri is raped by Raghav, brother of the powerful  Excise minister of the state Dwarika Prasad. Raghav & co later get her killed in an accident along with her parents ( Debu Bose and Anita Das). After this Raatri ( Priya ) and her parents turn into revenge-seeking ghosts.

Asit Pati, Biju Badajena, Debu Bose, Anita Das and Deepika play major roles in the filmwhich has received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board

Prem Anand has scored the music while Dr Nirmal Nayak and Arun Mantri have penned the lyrics.

Interestingly, there is not hero character in the entire film. However,  Priya carries the film on her shoulders with a great performance, sources in the production house said, adding, veteran producer-director Sanjay Nayak has ensured the viewers are kept in tight leash throughout the film.

Hari Om Hari Odia Movie Review/Odia Movie Hari Om Hari Review

Siddhanta Mohapatra lives in a village along with his widowed father Saroj Das. He is the Kabiraj of the village. Due to untimely demise of Akash Dasnayak’s mother, he brought him to his house and treated him as his younger son. Siddhanta and Akash play the role of two brothers whose love for each is greater than any other bond. Their father Saroj Das has imbibed the high values of honesty and principles in them.

Both re-locate to the Cuttack city and joined the Police Force, while Akash is an inspector, Siddhanta is a Traffic Constable. While manipulative orphan Riya Dey falls for Akash and tricks him into marrying her, his sibling, Siddhanta, is busy with a love of his own with Megha Ghosh. In the meantime, underworld kingpin Samaresh Routray is doing his best to tear Siddhanta and Akash apart for his own benefit. Watch the film to see what happens to create a divide between the brothers.

First of all Siddhanta is awesome and has played his honest role very well. His performance shines throughout the whole movie. Akash, Samaresh, Minaketan, Priyanka, Ragini, Debasish and Pintu Nanda are fine in their respective roles. Megha Ghosh has no scope to show her talent. Riya Dey has a brief role and she played her part beautifully.

Abhijit Majumdar’s music in the movie is very good. Four songs – ‘Hari Om Hari’, ‘Baba Saleile’, ‘Sinduri’ and ‘Fall in Love’ are hummable. Camera work, direction, screenplay, action and editing are average.

Hari Om Hari has a very nice story, but the technical team has been failed to execute it properly. You can watch the film once for Siddhanta Mohapatra’s acting and Abhijit Majumdar’s music.

When Pupinder signed Babushan and Sudhakar Vasanth for “Daha Balunga”, people’s expectation doubled from this film. Then story writer Bapu Goswami claimed it to be an original story. Rajshri Productions of Bollywood also attached with the project later. Abhijit Majumdar scored music for the film. Since people’s expectations were so high, let’s see the film scored in which departments?Babushan is a mischievous boy (Daha Balunga) studying in a college. He is poor in study. He and his four friends are showing fondness for causing trouble to others. He falls in love with a girl of his college, played by Sanjana Mitra. She is the daughter of Jackie Shroff and Aparajita is her mother. Her father is a very powerful man. Bijay Mohanty and Tandra Ray are the father and mother of Babushan in the film.

Bijay Mohanty is a lawyer, who always fights for justice to poor people. Due to some reason, Jackie Shroff murders hero’s father and mother. He thought that Babushan is also dead with his family, but hero survived and returned to take revenge. After return, he saw that his lover Sanjana is happily married with another man. Watch the film to know what happened next!

Babushan has acted very well in his dual avatar. His comedy and serious acting are equally good. Bijay Mohanty, Tandra Ray, Aparajita, Jackie Shroff and Pintu Nanda are very good in their respective roles. Two actresses, Sanjana Mitra and Soniya Sarkar Dey are fine.

Sudhakar Vasanth’s direction is okay. Bapu Goswami’s screenplay and dialogues are average. Abhijit Majumdar’s music is okay with a song or two sounding melodious. Camera work is fine and the production values are good.

On the whole, Daha Balunga is a fairly good Rath Yatra release with all the commercial ingredients. The film could have been better. It is okay for a one-time watch.

This film has our Ollywood’s fittest actor Arindam in the lead who has played a double role in the film. Ashok The innocent gunda and Samrat ,the dashing corrupt Politician , both played by Arindam.Emili plays Padma who is Ashok’s love interest.The film is a pure action comedy which will be appreciated by youngsters and rural belt audiences.
Story of the film is a bit complicated. Ashok loves Padma who is the fiance of The Baddy – Hitler(Manoj Mishra).Hitler kills Ashok and Ashok goes to yamlok. Our modern Yama realises the untimely death of Ashok.He searches for a look-alike of Ashok and he finds Samrat , The corrupt Home Minister who is accompanied by Pintu Nanda as a minister and Minaketan as a dhongi baba. After a miss-happening in the city Ashok realises his mistakes and tries to rectify himself , so his corrupt friends kill him by planning an accident.Here Ashok’s Soul comes in the body of samrat and he continues as Samrat.Then he gets popular by doing good works for all . And the twists will be revealed when you will see the movie in cinemas.
The film has a very long 177 minutes(complete 3hrs) of run-time.Film starts with modern Yama and Chitragupta(Jayee). Then Film shows a heroic entry of our action hero Arindam followed by an introduction song.Manoj Mishra will impress you as Hitler Bhai with his great timing and screen presence.Emili Choudhury as Padma doesn’t get enough chances to explore herself.Dance Sir Haribol(Harihar) will make you laugh by his double standard dialogues but it is a big no for family audiences.The most charming Dhinka chika baba(Minaketan) is also impressive.
Arindam has some punch lines in the movie :
1>Bhul kari sahsti paeele Dukha Nahin … But Bhul nakari paeele Khyama Nahin
2>Mu Rumal Pakei Jou Seat Book Kare Se Seat Mora Hei Jae

The film is boring and slow for first 1hours but suddenly picks up momentum when Samrat’s character comes to play.This film has a very common ending that is quite expected.Ashok has got his trademark dance step that he does in all his scenes which is quite funny.Sunita exposes more than she should.Her cleavage may be enjoyed by youngsters but family audience will never accept it.The same is also applicable for the item song.The film’s prime focus on the first part is love but gets shifted to politics and social causes in the second half.The film has a very faulty screenplay that looses its track at the end.

Ashok Samrat has got a very nice music line up composed by Abhijeet Majumdar and executed well by Arindam and Emili at exotic sea beaches and caves.Cinematography is at its best so as choreography. Story and dialogues could have been better.Direction is okay.But one thing should be noted , “Arindam” as “Samrat” has shown a lot of improvements in his acting.

So Ashok Samrat has got everything that is required for attracting mass and rural audience who love fight and comedy ! But if This Rajo you are planning your family to watch a class movie having a story of love,separation and togetherness then go for Mu Eka Tumara Or Hata Dhari Chalutha !!!

This film starts with a Big Odia Wedding where Virendra(Mihir Das)’s Son Mahesh(Debashis) is all set to marry Pratap (Prithwiraj)’s daughter Chitralekha(Archita). Both families have come together to stay at Vierendra’s firm-house for the next four days for this grand wedding. Here comes Raju(Sabyasachi) who works as a Servant or Naukar at Virendra’s place. Raju is a mute innocent guy who can hear and understand everything but is unable to speak a word. Raju escapes Chitra from a danger and
wins her heart. Later Chitra gets to know that Raju is not a natural mute. He can actually speak but is not saying a word because there is a story behind it. That story gets unfold slowly. Then after knowing about Raju’s past, Chitra falls for Raju and gets mad for him. She wants to marry Raju instead of Mahesh. What is the story of Raju and happens next is a complete suspense that you will come to know when you watch the movie.

The biggest plus point of the movie is , it has a run time of 140mins(2hrs 20mins), so you will never feel that the story is being dragged and you will never get bored.The core of the movie “Sabyasachi” as “Raju” creates a Barfi! type of magic on the screen. Susant Mani as a director explains the story quite amazingly.

This movie has friendship,family values, togetherness, comedy, action, drama, suspense, emotion and most importantly pure love ,all the elements needed for a complete movie.This movie has no weak scenes and will hold you to your seat till the end.Complete Raw Fights create excitement.

Gobara(Satyaki) and Gajju(Harihar)’s Tom And Jerry fight for Chandramalli(Lovely) is funny.Sexy Chandramalli will entertain you in her item number “Maa Lo Malli”.Though Raju is the Hero in the movie , he delivers slapstick comedy through his Talkative character.Aaina(Ragini) as second female lead plays well her part. Aaina looks very cute on screen.Maheswata and Sabysachi’s Mother-Son relation will bring tears in your eyes.Archita justifies Chitra’s character who loves Raju madly and blindly.

You will literally get Goosebumps in many scenes .
1>A scene where Raju searches for his priceless possession,the anklets(Paoonji).
2>Chitra’s confession for Raju in a series of sequences and in-front of Uncle Gobara.
3>Raju being tortured again and again without any mistakes.
4>The death scene of Aaina(Ragini).
5>The climax .

All these scenes are full of complete suspense with melo-drama and are executed brilliantly.

Sarthak’s Banner is famous for its quality and this time it has raised its own bar.Music has been well composed by Bikash Das.Title song is best from the lot and it has been sweetly sung by Saurin and Namita Agrawal.Choreography is of complete Bollywood Ishtyle .Camera Works has been beyond perfection.Story and Screenplay justify their importance.Dialogues could have been better.It should be Susant Mani’s path breaking revolution after Abhimanyu and Chocolate.Completely different but amazingly Directed.

The Movie has all your Favourite Stars of the old days including Bijay Mohanty, MihirDas, Prithwiraj, Priyanka, Ushashi, Satwaki, Harihar and Mahasweta. Kudos !!! Sarthak Team for this lovely Star-Cast. The Title Of The Movie “Mu Eka Tumara” justifies its meaning.

A major point to be noted !!! Sabyasachi and Archita Look Completely Revamped On Screen.They Share a Brilliant Chemistry.It should be Sabyasachi’s best acting till date.

After watching this movie you will say a single word !!! I have watched a Odia Movie after a long time!!!

Hata Dhari Chalutha has an appealing story,dialogue baazi,heart touching songs,a good star cast and most importantly it has The Anubhav !!!

This film starts from Sampoorna (Barsha) ,attempting for a suicide by taking sleeping pills on the day of her marriage.Then the story goes to a flash back to 2years… Sai(Anubhav) is an Orphan , and has a dream to have a girl-friend who has a big family,so that he will get all those love , affection from that family which he has never got being an orphan.One day he meets Sampoorna, who is a medical student.He tries our so called old love formulas to impress her.Sampoorna also falls for her. Sai reveals that he is a software engineer.Suddenly Sampoorna’s Father Abinash Babu(Bijoy Mohanty) comes to play who is a very protective for her daughter and wants Sampoorna to marry in a big family. He doesn’t agree to Sai’s proposal as he is an orphan and finalizes Sampoorna’s marriage with a London Based Doctor Vicky. Sampoorna gets ready to go away with Sai without her family’s wish.But Sai denies it as he wants to marry her by the acknowledgement of her family. Does Abinash Babu agrees to Sai’s proposal and how Sai gets her love back in her life is the story all about.

This Movie has Ollywood’s biggest Icon “The Anubhav Mohanty”… So the movie is itself a hit before its release.Anubhav showcases his heroic entry with a fight sequence.You will definitely clap when he says “Sara Odisha Janichi … E Toka Jaha Kahe Seya Kare …”. He has become a brand and his fan base is getting strong with each release.The films first half is relatively slow as compared to the second half.Director only tried to show Anubhav and Barsha’s love in the first half and just before the interval you will see Bijoy Mohanty rejecting Anubhav as his Son-In-Law. The second half is relatively faster.It will keep you engaged with the screenplay. Bijay Mohanty has again proved his class. Kuna Tripathy as a london based citizen will definitely impress you. Barsha doesn’t get to act enough till the climax except shedding tears , but before the climax when she tries to convince her father is commendable.She has improved a lot as an actress.Anubhav is specially good at emotional sequences and dialogues.But some how he seems to be loud at the comedy scenes.He has set his acting standard a bit higher with this role.

Being an Anubhav’s film this movie has got beautifully composed,executed and choreographed songs.The best one from the movie is the Title song Hata Dhari Chalutha … You will get chances to hear it at-least 3 times and each time you will enjoy it. This song is the soul of the movie. Batoi Mu eka and Sathire are also heart touchy numbers.Camera works are beyond expectation.Though most scenes are captured in Cuttack and Ramoji film city still each shot looks fresh.
